Photography is my language—a fusion of art and science where every image is a study in light, texture, and emotion. With my trusted Minolta Alpha 9 in hand, I find immense joy in working with film, particularly the distinctive qualities of Cinestill 800T and Aurora 800, which are my favorite film stocks. Film allows me to capture the urban life and natural beauty of my surroundings in a way that feels fragile from the chemical process of exposure and I continually push the boundaries of my craft by experimenting with double exposures that layer narratives and textures, and I’m currently developing X100vi film simulations—a project so compelling that it may soon evolve into its own dedicated space. Each experiment deepens my exploration of how photography can reveal the hidden patterns and rhythms of the world. My journey behind the lens began in Brighton Beach, where the vibrant energy of my immigrant roots and a culturally diverse upbringing has shaped my unique perspective. Growing up in this spirited community instilled in me a love for simple pleasures—whether rollerskating at Pier 2 or wandering through the urban landscapes that inspire my compositions. Armed with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from SUNY New Paltz, I delved into semiconductor physics, fiber optics, and microelectronics reliability. This technical foundation not only informs my analytical approach but also fuels my fascination with nature’s inherent patterns. I’ve explored these intersections further through 3D modeling in Rhino 6 and 3D printing, experiences that echo my belief in the beautiful dialogue between engineering and the natural world. Each photograph in my portfolio is an invitation: to witness a harmonious blend of spontaneity and precision, the delicate balance between analog warmth and digital clarity, and the eternal dance between art and science. Welcome to my visual diary—a continuously evolving exploration of beauty, experimentation, and discovery.
